2008 Presidential Election To Be Determined By TV Comedians
Recent polls show that the 2008 Presidential Election will be decided by TV comedians and their shows such as Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, Jay Leno and David Letterman. This is certainly contrary to what is perceived as the current system whereby the candidate that raises the most money wins. Only comedians, and not politicians, are willing to show the ludicrous for what it is, although they certainly sway their jabs according to the candidate they are supporting. Probably most voters under thirty don’t read the paper or watch the evening news and certainly not any of the agonizing discussion panels. They might have seen the debates, but never miss their favorite comedy show that distorts the true news for a laugh or can at least see the highlights on Youtube if they were occupied. Some say a system where the candidate loses that receives the most ridicule by comedians and takes full advantage of their sagacity is possibly the best system to use and that it may have been creeping into usage for perhaps the last ten elections without our full knowledge. Therefore here is the biggest question America faces in this election and it is not on the ballot: Do we want to surrender our minds and freedom to carefully think to the Comediocracy? Do we want to surrender all that power to so few? Has the younger generation already done so? The comediocrats, like their counterparts the bureaucrats, are just poor saps trying to gain power and slave away at their job every day until they can work up to retirement. The retirements are funded very differently however. The bureaucrats receive a federal pension after quite a few years of service, whereas the comediocrats main retirement funding comes from the enormous regular pay they can extract (until they are canceled) from their network, which then charges advertisers according to how many votes they can influence, who then overcharge on the products they sell the public so they can pay for the ads. In the end, the comediocrats don’t care who wins an election as long as they made enough money off the jokes so that it is irrelevant to them.
