Animal Sculptures In Borrego

By now, even if they haven’t visited them, most people have heard about the metal sculptures in Borrego Springs of extinct animals that were alive and wandering that area in previous times. Based upon fossil evidence, the sculptures are life sized depictions that can be viewed in their natural habitat, although it is assumed that the area was a lot less desert-like and more tropical in the past. Now through the wonders of modern technology and animatronics and the cool new 3-D special effects that so many people love, one of the more carnivorous species ate a small child that ventured a little too close. The parents are obviously upset and never dreamed that anything bad could happen if they let their children roam wild and free in the desert. The one thing they are happy about though, is that they got a great video of the whole altercation and plan to sell it to some TV show.
